I want to learn tango. Do I need to have experience with other types of dance?
Previous experience with other types of dance is not necessary. Each dance has its own style and technique. Tango argentino is a completely independent dance. All of the basic elements required will be taught in class!
I'm interested in taking a tango class at Tango Vision and have some experience dancing tango. However, I don't know what level would be right for me.
Come to our "practica" on Fridays. That will give us a chance to see what basics you know and we can discuss what level would be best for you to start at. Bring your partner to the "practica". If you are unsure, call ahead!
What happens if I miss a lesson?
We give all participants the opportunity to make up missed lessons in another class of a similar level. However, missed lessons will not be refunded.
I'm interested in taking a tango class, but I don't have a partner. Can I register anyway?
Yes, it's possible to register without a dance partner. However, as there are usually more women than men who sign up alone, women are placed on a "waiting list". We are happy to help you find a dance partner who is a good "match". This is much easier if we know both parties personally! For this reason, we recommend that you come to our "tango evening" on Fridays.
As a new service, we have prepared a form that you can complete and return to us.
Find a dance partner
I want to learn to dance, but I don't know whether tango is the right dance for me. How can I find out?
One option is to come to our "tango evening" on Tuesdays or Fridays, by yourself or with friends. Here, you can experience the atmosphere of an Argentinean tango evening – a so-called milonga.
Or, you could register for a weekend workshop. During the workshop you can get a good impression of the music and the style of movement and decide whether it's right for you.
